Presents, A Slice of Cake and a Bottle of Eisberg

First things first, I have something important to say…I didn’t win the lottery with my magic non-alcoholic numbers. But I am just about managing to lift the hump of disappointment off my back and continue with operation SMLOBC… which has been somewhat neglected from my life the past week.

It’s not that I was bored with it. In fact, it has given me the busiest life that I have ever had. I just still felt a bit too comfortable. I needed to mix it up.

So, this week, my mission was to begin my new job search. Eisberg Chardonnay spritzer in hand, I have once again been using the internet for the better. But I didn’t seem to find anything to interest me. Plus, now that I’m trying to ‘Love my Liver’ more, money isn’t an issue. I am comfortably busy and happy.

So my next mission was to organise a last minute pre-Christmas party at my flat. I got excited as soon as I began looking for decorations online, with yet another Eisberg spritzer in my hand, this time using the Riesling. However, midway through making my Facebook event, I realised that it clashed with my niece’s birthday party.

So off I was, five days later, two bottles of Eisberg in my arms, along with a huge birthday cake and enough presents to sink… well, a battle ship bath toy. Handing a bottle of Eisberg to my breastfeeding sister as I walked in, I was greeted by a hug straight away.

The same followed a couple of minutes later when my niece saw her birthday cake. Possibly the best auntie/sister/relative ever?

End of the night, I was exhausted. Running around after my five nieces and nephews after a chocolate cake sugar boosts is enough to keep me off drama for a while. I think I’ll stay away from mixing it up for now… well, except from an Eisberg spritzer at the end of a difficult day. And maybe the occasional last minute eBay auction to keep my adrenaline going…
